Wood Fire Pizzas for Saturday Dinners at Grange Cleveland Winery
Overlooking a vineyard and lake, and with panoramic views of the surrounding ranges, Carriagehouse Restaurant at Grange Cleveland Winery is certainly a great place to end a lovely Saturday.
With beautiful weather ahead of us, head chef Erresh Tantiriwatta decided that over the summer months, he will give the usual 3 course menu served on Saturday evenings at the Carriagehouse Restaurant a refreshing change. From now till the end of March, the restaurant will serve mouth watering starters such as pear & walnut salad, chipolatas and pan tossed olives to freshly cooked wood fire pizzas on Saturday evenings. Imagine tucking into some lovely ‘tapas’ style food while you enjoy the best of those long summer evenings. Fabulous!
The restaurant provides a casual dining experience, where families or friends can experience the best regionally-grown produce and Cleveland’s good, old fashioned Aussie hospitality.
Catering to a wide range of tastes, diners can try delicious options such as lamb, caramelised onion and fetta or prawn, red chilli and Spanish onion pizzas. Gourmet pizzas cost between $15 and $18, making it a very affordable evening out.
On Sunday afternoons, the winery’s restaurant has an off spring called Pizza Montanara which also provides diners with similar choices. With plenty of farm animals such as alpacas, highland cows, miniature ponies, ducks, rabbits and guinea pigs out in the daytime and add to that a place where kids eat free on Sundays, there’s plenty of reason for making Pizza Montanara the family friendly choice.
Carriagehouse Restaurant, at 55 Shannons Road, Lancefield, opens Saturday at 6.30pm (bar opens at 5.30pm) and Pizza Montanara opens Sunday at noon-4pm. Inquiries: 5429 9000, email cleveland@grangecc.com.au.
