Whilst every program is designed specifically to match the needs of each team, some key components of the team development programs include:
A Process for Teamwork - The Team Wheel
The Team Wheel focuses on nine key functions that are critical for achieving high performance. The wheel ensures that the team takes a balanced approach in all that it does, avoiding costly rework and frustration.
The Team Make Up - Work Style Preferences.
In this second phase of the Team Wheel the process identifies the preferences an individual has for the key functions. Coupled with another diagnostic which measures people's approach to change (QO2) these comprehensive personal profiles raise self-awareness and provide a common language whereby team members may openly express and celebrate the diversity within their team.
Working with Difference - Interpersonal Skills.
Equipping people with Pacing Skills ensures that misunderstanding and conflict is replaced with synergy and support.
Team Balance
Will highlight team strengths and weaknesses. With the assistance of a skilled facilitator, the team will develop strategies to address weaknesses and maximize strengths.
Operational Framework
Through a series of workshops the team develops its own Team Charter. Content may vary according to each team, however areas typically included are Team Role Statement , Team Vision/Mission Statement , Team Values/Supporting Behaviours, Communication Strategy and Performance Management System
Duration: 1 - 3 days
Leadership Development
There are three programs specifically designed to reflect participant experience levels:
- Future Leaders Program - Targets graduates 1-3 years out identified as future leaders in the business.
- Team Leaders Program - Targets people about to be or recently appointed to their first leadership role. First line leaders who have had limited exposure to leadership training.
- Leadership Challenge - Targets middle to senior management with at least 5 years leadership experience.
Graduate Development
In the current environment of the "Gen -Y Knowledge Worker" with record low unemployment levels, attracting and retaining talent have surfaced as major issues for many organisations. According to the Employability Skills for the Future Report (ACCI, 2002 - 2006) many graduates display skill gaps in areas such as communication, teamwork, self awareness/management, problem solving, planning & organising, initiative and enterprise.
