High Ropes

The element of height presents an opportunity to set and meet a personal challenge by stretching the “comfort zone”. Using a full set of climbing equipment, harnesses and helmets to cross the course one must first scale the pole using hand and foot staples to a height of 13 m where a horizontal steel cable is used to walk along to another pole. Whilst the decision to participate is a matter of personal choice, support and encouragement from the rest of the team can be instrumental in helping others overcome perceived barriers.

The High Y is a horizontal steel cable used to walk along to another pole. There are a number of vertical ropes (vines) set at different distances that can be used for balance. People may choose to go in pairs for extra support.

The Leap of Faith is a trapeze swing just out of reach when standing at the top of the 13m pole. While balanced on top of the pole, focus on reaching the trapeze bar and trust in your belay team is all part of the challenge. Whilst the decision to participate is a matter of personal choice, support and encouragement from the rest of the team are instrumental in helping others overcome perceived barriers.
